The course is part of a European project (IlluminatED) and has been developed for educators; it may also be of interest to students who wish to increase the effectiveness of their learning.

It’s free of charge! Enrolling in the course will give you access to videos, audio files, articles, reflection assignments and discussions. You can choose to complete the course in its entirety, take a single module, or simply access the resources that are of most interest to you. There are no obligations. Transcripts of the videos are available in English and Greek.

Dr. Minna Huotilainen is a professor of educational sciences at the University of Helsinki, Finland. She uses neuroscientific methods to understand learning. She is particularly interested in the role of memory and attention in learning, and has studied the effects of musical activities on the brain and learning. She has published more than 160 peer-reviewed articles in international journals and is the author of five books that have contributed to popularizing neuroscience and learning.

What does Erasmus pay you?

“How much money can I receive for the Erasmus+ grant? Generally, the amount of the Erasmus+ grants fluctuates between 300 and 400 € per month. However, the exact amount will depend on the cost of living in your home and host country.

Who is eligible for Erasmus?

Students in Higher Education and Vocational Training who wish to study or obtain work experience in other European countries. Teachers who wish to train or teach abroad.

Schools, vocational training centers and adult education and training organizations are eligible for full funding to attend our courses under an Erasmus plus KA121 and KA122 mobility grant for teachers, teachers, trainers, managers and other staff members can be sent abroad to attend courses and training activities such as the ones we are organizing. Please consider that a wide range of organizations may be eligible for this Erasmus plus funding such as, for example, adult education organizations, cultural organizations, music associations, non-profit organizations and organizations providing formal or non-formal education for adults.we recommend that you check with your Erasmus+ National Agency to verify if your sending institution is eligible as sending organizations under Key Action 1 (KA121 and KA122 Mobility of individuals for learning purposes).

Curso para profesores con un nivel B1+ o B2 de inglés que deseen desarrollar sus habilidades lingüísticas para poder comunicarse e interactuar con confianza en clase y en situaciones cotidianas utilizando el contexto cultural para crear contenidos de aprendizaje.

Curso para profesores que deseen mejorar sus conocimientos de inglés (C1, C2) explorando la cultura irlandesa (sociedad, literatura, arte, tradiciones, historia, etc.) y mediante una combinación de talleres, trabajo basado en proyectos, proyectos de campo y situaciones de “hablar con la gente”. Un enfoque cultural también debería influir en la calidad de una enseñanza más informada.
